Nicole Nordstrom Final

For my final effort, I chose to focus on motion in sports. I chose to focus on sports because it is something that I am interested in and I want to work in sports in the future. I spent the weeks photographing different sports because I thought each sport would create its own visual story that would add to the overall vision I had. Also, gaining media credentials made this process a whole lot easier and I am thankful that I was given those opportunities. Overall, I am very happy with how my images turned out. In the beginning, I did struggle when it came photographing sports I have never photographed before, such as basketball. It took half the game to really figure out what I was going for and to get the hang of the lighting and the pace of the sport. Each week, I noticed more growth within my images. I noticed I was pushing myself more and more to create dynamic images. Each week after the first, I was able to present work that was stronger than the week prior. As the weeks went on, you could see how my work has changed, but for the better. By the end, I gained a lot of confidence and pride in my work. I think I have accomplished what I set out to do and I am very proud of what I created.
