Afternoon Kevin,

My name is Andres Nuñez and I am a junior here at Penn State. I am currently enrolled in Photo 410 which is a sports photography class. In the course, we are learning how to capture motion through our photographs to create a different perspective of sports than the normal still-frame images normally depicted by the media. I would love to have media credentials so that I may photograph a game for my class.

Growing up in San Diego all my life, so hockey was not a prevalent sport to be interested in. During my freshman year at Penn State, hockey was introduced to me. Ever since my love for the game has turned into an obsession and has become my favorite sport to watch. One thing I find unique and special about the sport is its face pace right in your face action that has you on the edge of your seat, knowing that a single play can make a difference. I played baseball all my life and the sluggish pace of that game can’t even touch the thrill factor hockey provides.
